Janay’s love for dance first blossomed at Leesville Road High School (LRHS) under the direction of Shannon Carr-Williams, where she was a dedicated member of the LRHS Dance Ensemble. Her journey with NCDI began when she received a summer study scholarship, and she has remained a valued member of the NCDI community ever since.

With three years of teaching experience in ballet, tap, jazz and musical theatre for City of Raleigh summer camps, Janay brings both versatility and enthusiasm to her instruction. While her heart has always been drawn to jazz and theatre, her time at NCDI has deepened her appreciation and love for ballet.

Janay leads high-energy, engaging classes designed for beginner to intermediate dancers, creating a welcoming space where students can grow in both skill and confidence.
