VICTORIA MOORE

Artistic Director

Jazz, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Modern

Victoria Moore is a multifaceted artist whose creative journey began in North Carolina’s Triangle area. From an early age, she immersed herself in the world of dance, training at a variety of studios and, through the competitive dance circuit, worked with numerous world-renowned choreographers. As a teenager, she joined Black Irish, an avante garde movement company led by Ronnie West that specialized in contemporary and hip hop dance styles, where she performed in the company’s original productions of Organ, Shade and LIT

While dance is her niche, Victoria’s love for the arts extends well beyond the dance floor. She has performed in Theatre Raleigh’s The WOLF and A Midsummer Night’s Dream under the direction of Lauren Kennedy Brady. Lauren invited Victoria to lead the choreographic efforts for the early beginnings of Theatre Raleigh’s education program. In this role, Victoria brought to life vibrant productions such as Hairspray and Peter Pan, infusing each show with high-energy, character-driven movement rooted in the traditions of classic and contemporary musical theatre.

A dedicated educator, Victoria discovered early in her career the joy and fulfillment that comes from teaching. Since 2016, she has been a core faculty member at NCDI, where she inspires students through her deep knowledge and contagious enthusiasm for jazz, contemporary, modern and musical theatre. Her choreography has been featured widely across the Triangle, from Wake County Public School System stages to regional dance competitions and theatre productions.

In addition to her work in the arts, Victoria brings the same passion and leadership to the field of strategic communications. She serves as a public relations professional at Largemouth Communications – a full-service public relations agency specializing in B2B and B2C communications – and holds the role of 2025 president-elect of the North Carolina Public Relations Society of America, representing a statewide network of over 220 marketing and communications professionals.

Through every facet of her work – on stage, in the studio and in the professional sphere – Victoria leads with creativity, vision and an unwavering commitment to the power of storytelling. She is thrilled to be assuming the role of artistic director at NCDI and is energized by its future for the decades to come. With deep gratitude, Victoria thanks her long-time dance mentor, Kirstie Spadie, for entrusting her with this role and for being an extraordinary guiding force throughout her dance journey.
